You should end up with a folder full of the packages you need to install dkms (or whichever package you are downloading for offline). I suggest creating a folder and running it inside there. With that said, I'm not totally sure that dkms doesnt have a bunch of dependencies and I didnt feel like uninstalling it on my system and reinstalling to find out. Then boot back up into your system and you can install like sudo dpkg -i b Make ensure the dkms package were installed using the commands given. apt-get download dkms is the command to download the dkms package. sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install dkms. Install the DKMS framework from a Terminal using the command sudo apt-get install dkms Install the libdrm. And download your drivers and dkms and drop them in your Downloads folder(or wherever). Check the Allow executing file as a program box. sudo make install install the compiled folder 2 cd /rtl8812AU8821AUlinux navigate to folder sudo make uninstall uninstall the compiled make clean cleaning sudo cp -R /rtl8812AU8821AUlinux /usr/src/rtl8812AU8821AUlinux-1.0 move the folder from to /usr/src/ sudo dkms install -m rtl8812AU8821AUlinux -v 1. Mount your drive so you can have access to your home directory. If your wifi worked during your install, use the live CD/USB that you used to do your install to boot "Try wihtout Installing" and configure internet access.
